Family Days Out In The UK: Best Methods To Save Money

Family days out can be expensive, especially in today’s economic climate. It’s no surprise that families are sacrificing their quality time to pay necessities such as bills and food. So there’s often very little left for the well needed family days out!

The average household bills for a family of 4 has risen by around £400 a month. So when it comes to precious family time, it’s important to find ways to cut costs. We’ve put together our top tips for families in the UK.

Whether it’s a family holiday or a trip to a UK attraction, we always advise booking tickets in advance. This is the biggest factor when it comes to saving the pennies!

For most attractions in the UK, there will often be two prices, one for pre booking and one for pay on the day. It’s likely that most parents will try to plan their family days out, especially during the summer holidays, so it’s a no-brainer when it comes to choosing between the two.

The same system will often apply when booking a holiday. Make sure you shop around first for the best deals on offer, but the earlier you book the more affordable it will be!

Here at Diggerland, our visitors can reap the rewards of pre booking, and save a whopping £6.05 per person. Anyone wishing to visit Diggerland will need to purchase tickets anytime up until midnight the day before their visit date!

Discounts and voucher codes are notoriously used by a variety of companies as an appealing way to attract customers. If you’re willing to scan the internet for any discount codes, then you’re onto a winner.

Hot UK Deals, Money Saving Expert and VoucherCodes are just a few of the top discount voucher code websites available. It’s a great idea to bookmark these or save them for later use. If you come across a 10% or 20% off voucher, then this can be a great way of saving money.

Usually our visitors would be able to save deals for their visit to Diggerland UK. However we are not currently running any discount codes or offers this season unfortunately. Any special offers will be promoted via our social media channels as well as our newsletter.

Have you ever thought about planning family days out with your extended family, or even close friends? It could be worth thinking about if you want to make a saving.

Planning a big day out with friends and family has many benefits and it’s not just the price.  Children can buddy up with friends of similar ages and enjoy a fantastic day out to a venue of their choice. It will certainly make it memorable!
