Family Days Out

As we enter 2021, we are still wondering when we will be able to go and enjoy some fun family days out, somewhere else other than our homes.

Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, it is still unclear as to when attractions such as Diggerland can re-open to the public. Rest assured that as soon as we get the go ahead, we will do everything we can to provide fun and safe memorable experiences.

But what can you do in the meantime?

Purchase your Gift Vouchers

Although Diggerland is not currently open, you can still purchase gift vouchers through our website. Perfect for when we open our gates again!

As a result of the latest Government advice, being to stay at home, this unfortunately means that theme parks, retail shops and hospitality establishments are closed.

Purchasing a Diggerland gift voucher will give you something to look forward to, once we’re able to leave our homes for other reasons other than going to the supermarket.

Although our opening dates haven’t been released, it will be great to plan your fun family days out in advance!

Which Gift Voucher should I get?

You can purchase an array of different gift vouchers. Admission vouchers can be bought for 2, 3 and 4 people. In addition to this, you may like to have a browse through our Adult Experience Days.

Adult Experience Day vouchers are also the perfect gift if you’re in need of any birthday present ideas. You’ll definitely be providing an unforgettable day for the participant!

Outdoor Activities

Similarly to the first national lockdown, households are still allowed to leave the house for exercise.

So why not make exercise interesting?

You may remember during the first lockdown, Joe Wicks, also known as ‘The Body Coach’. He introduced a series of workouts on social media and YouTube. ‘PE with Joe’ was initially introduced to help children exercise whilst not attending school. It soon became a national family activity as the parents also joined in!

If you are keen to get back outside, take Joe with you! You can easily access his free videos on YouTube or via social media. All you need to do is prop your phone onto a nearby bench and you can follow the workout outside!

This takes your family days out to an all new healthy extreme! It might make all the difference to keep up with your exercise whilst doing it outside of your home.

Exercising is incredibly helpful for your mental health too, and will make you feel a whole lot better afterwards!

Back to Basics

Just when you thought the Zoom quizzes were over, lockdown strikes again and we’re encouraged to find fun activities to do indoors.

Family days out have famously become family days in with a lot of parents working from home and children being homeschooled.

So what do you do for fun? Game night of course!

Start to bring back the best board games of all time, even if it means a trip to the attic!

Whether it be Monopoly, Scrabble or Battleships, you can make it more interesting. Try introducing a penalty / dare for the loser. An example being, the loser has to clean the dishes or wash the car.

Family Cooking

Another way to bring the family together is to do your very own family ‘Come Dine With Me’.

At the start of the week, you allocate a day of the week to each member of the family. That family member must rustle up a three course meal and the other family members will score out of 10.

By the end of the week, you would have collated your scores, announcing the ‘Come Dine With Me’ winner! What will you win?

As soon as we receive further information on when we can re-open, we will notify our customers via the website. We hope to see you all soon!
