Electric Vehicle Charging is now available at Diggerland.
Diggerland is thrilled to announce that three of its UK digger-themed, adventure parks now provide free-to-use charging points for its patrons with electric vehicles.
Those who are not visiting Diggerland can plug in and charge for a flat fee of £5, for a time period up to two hours.
These chargers are available during working hours.
The charging units are Tesla Destination Chargers, up to 11kW, their installation at Diggerland Parks marks a “first” for theme parks and attractions in the UK.
Transport is a major source of greenhouse gases in the UK and reducing the amount of greenhouse gases from transport will help the UK to realise its commitment to slash its greenhouse gas emissions by at least 80%. This goal drives the work of the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) “Plugged in Places” initiative, which is committed to establishing a comprehensive electric vehicle-charging infrastructure in key locations throughout the UK.
EV charging units are now available for use by visitors to three UK Diggerland locations:
- Verbeer Manor, Devon, EX15 2PE
- Medway Valley Leisure Park, Kent, ME2 2NU
- Castleford, West Yorkshire, WF10 5NW
And will be at Worcestershire when it opens (details to follow).
