While coin-operated rides are not included, these can be purchased as an optional extra on the day. Height restrictions apply, but children under 90 cm can join in the fun for free. Go on, make their day extra special with the ultimate Diggerland experience!

Individual and Group JCB Experiences

For those looking to enjoy the thrill of operating real heavy machinery with friends, the Diggerland Group JCB Experience provides an engaging 90‑minute session. Small groups of up to four participants get to operate a JCB 3CX backhoe loader under the guidance of an expert instructor. During this experience, you’ll learn to manoeuvre the machine, operate the powerful front bucket, dig with the backhoe and master essential digging and levelling techniques. This group experience is available exclusively at Diggerland Kent and Diggerland Yorkshire parks.

For those who prefer a more personalised adventure, the Individual JCB Experience offers one‑to‑one tuition with an instructor. Giving participants the opportunity to gain confidence and skill behind the controls at their own pace. This individual session is available at all four Diggerland UK parks in Kent, Devon, Durham and Yorkshire. Making it an excellent option for locals and visitors alike. Whether it’s a unique gift or a bucket‑list experience, both JCB options deliver unforgettable thrills and hands‑on fun. 

Dumper Racing 

One of the most thrilling experiences Diggerland offers for adults is Dumper Racing. It is a high‑energy, competitive event that puts your skill and speed to the test behind the controls of specially adapted JCB skidsteer loaders. Taking place at Diggerland Kent and Diggerland Yorkshire, Dumper Racing invites participants aged 17 and over to compete in timed heats against both the clock and fellow racers.

Each session typically runs for around two hours, during which racers aim to post the fastest times and avoid penalty points on loose surfaces or grass tracks. With successful competitors progressing to a grand final and earning a commemorative certificate and bragging rights. 

Due to its popularity, pre‑booking is essential, and spectators are welcome to watch free of charge once the main parks have closed for the evening. Whether you’re looking for a unique challenge, a fun way to spend an afternoon with friends, or an unforgettable gift experience, Dumper Racing delivers excitement and a chance to test your coordination and nerve in a way that only Diggerland can offer.

Monster Digger Experience

For thrill‑seekers and construction‑machinery enthusiasts looking for something truly extraordinary, the Monster Digger Experience offers an unforgettable hands-on adventure at Diggerland UK. Participants aged 17 and over are invited to climb into the cab of the Komatsu PC210 tracked excavator and, under the guidance of a dedicated instructor, learn to operate one of the most powerful diggers at our attraction. This 90‑minute one‑to‑one experience includes expert coaching and helps visitors master the controls, move earth and experience the raw power of heavy machinery in action. 

Best of all, the Monster Digger Experience is available at all four Diggerland locations in Kent, Devon, Durham and Yorkshire. Making it a must‑try highlight for anyone seeking the ultimate day out at any park.
