Finding fun and inclusive activities that suit everyone in the family or group can be a challenge. That’s why Diggerland UK Theme Park is proud to offer accessible days out that are as thrilling as they are welcoming, because our parks are designed to ensure every guest has an unforgettable day.
What is Diggerland UK Theme Park?
Diggerland is the UK’s only construction-themed adventure park, where visitors of all ages can enjoy the unique thrill of operating real diggers, dumper trucks and other heavy machinery in a safe yet exciting environment. Moreover, with four locations across the UK, in Kent, Devon, Durham and Yorkshire, each park offers more than 20 rides and attractions for guests to explore and enjoy.
Not only does Diggerland provide adrenaline-pumping experiences such as Spindizzy and Skyshuttle, but it also caters to families with gentler drives and fun indoor play zones. As a result, there is something to suit children, teens and adults alike. What truly sets Diggerland apart, however, is its strong focus on accessibility and excellent customer care. To make planning even easier, you can discover all park locations, attractions and visit details directly on our website.

Designed for Accessible Days Out
Diggerland is fully committed to providing safe, inclusive and genuinely fun accessible days out. Every park has been carefully designed with ease of movement in mind. In addition, friendly staff are always on hand to assist guests with a wide range of needs.
Flat Terrain around the Park
To begin with, the entire layout of each park is primarily on level ground. This makes it easier for guests using wheelchairs, walking aids or mobility scooters to get around. From the car park right through to the café and each attraction, paths remain wide, smooth and straightforward to follow.
Carers Enter Free
Guests with additional needs can also benefit from free entry for one essential carer. Accepted documentation includes a valid DLA or PIP letter, Blue Badge or other proof of disability. This thoughtful support not only makes planning a visit more affordable but also much more straightforward. For extra guidance, eligibility details and planning tips are available on the Disability Information page.
Accessible Facilities
Each park is equipped with clearly marked accessible toilets, baby changing areas and seating zones for rest or breaks. Conveniently, these facilities are placed close to major attractions and food outlets, meaning guests never need to travel far for comfort.
What Attractions Can You Enjoy?
Although all attractions have height or health-related restrictions for safety reasons, many remain accessible to guests with additional support needs. Ride operators are always happy to help wherever possible, and carer support is encouraged for anyone who may need assistance with balance or seating.
More inclusive attractions include:
-
Dig-A-Round – a fun, digger-themed carousel suitable for younger children and those seeking a gentler ride
-
Mini Tractors and Mini Landrovers – slower-paced drives for younger guests or those who prefer a quieter activity
-
Indoor Play Areas – ideal for winding down, with soft play and games created for children
-
Groundshuttle – such a thrilling yet manageable experience, particularly with carer support
Before visiting, guests can view our ride height chart and safety info from the Diggerland website to help plan which rides are most suitable.
