Diggerland delivers a one-of-a-kind experience where guests take the driver’s seat of real diggers under expert staff supervision. In the Skittles challenge, visitors can operate a Komatsu PC14 and aim to knock down all ten skittles. For an even bigger thrill, they jump into the powerful Komatsu PC55MR-5 during the Giant Diggers activity, digging deep and putting their skills to the test.

Plus with the park featuring rides like Joyrider and Skyshuttle, they offer an exciting opportunity for children to experience, and develop their real-world skills. Children learn while having fun, and adults enjoy nostalgia and novelty at this UK attraction.

For those over 17, visitors can also book onto a unique Experience Day. Choose from a variety of activities; these include Dumper Racing, JCB Experiences (groups or one-to-one experiences), or even a Monster Digger Experience. With experiences ranging from 90 minutes, to 2 hours, there is something for everyone. This is a digger lover’s dream! Where else can you find somewhere that offers this without being a qualified construction worker?

Schools love the park for its practical learning. Students experience engineering principles first-hand because they steer machines and grasp levers. Furthermore, lessons in safety and control add value. Thus, the park becomes a classroom without walls.

Expansion and Global Reach

Since 2000, the concept has spread internationally. A US park opened in New Jersey in 2014. That park doubled its appeal by adding a water park in 2021.

Nevertheless, the UK still boasts four excellent sites. Consequently, Diggerland remains Britain’s only heavy-machinery UK attraction. From a family day out to one to one experience days, this is a truly unique attraction.

Tips Before You Go

Firstly, wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dusty, as well as closed toe shoes. Next, don’t forget to check site opening days in advance. When planning, account for traffic, and how much time you’d like with us. You may wish to arrive early to make the most of the rides. We usually recommend spending around 3-4 hours with us, however you may enjoy the whole day!

Our rides are all height restricted, so we recommend measuring your child’s height prior to your visit, and looking up which rides would be suitable for their height range.
