Diggerland Durham Scoops Silver at North East Tourism Awards 2025

We are absolutely thrilled to share some fantastic news, Diggerland Durham has been recognised as one of the top attractions in the North East!

We were shortlisted in the ‘Small Visitor Attraction of the Year’ category at the North East England Tourism Awards 2025, and on 20th March. Diggerland proudly took home the Silver Award at the prestigious awards evening held at The Civic Centre, Newcastle upon Tyne.

The night was an epic celebration of the region’s incredible tourism industry. Shining a spotlight on the outstanding businesses, attractions, and individuals who make the North East such a fantastic place to visit.

But that’s not all! As an award winner, we’re now in the running for the national 2025 VisitEngland Awards for Excellence, with results set to be announced in April! These highly respected awards recognise exceptional visitor experiences and promote innovation and excellence in tourism across the UK. We couldn’t be more excited to be representing Durham on the national stage!
