Admission Enquiries
Can I change my visit date?
Once online tickets are purchased they are non-refundable and non-transferable. We are also unable to part refund should you book too many tickets, wrong ticket type or some of your group do not visit on the day.
Under extenuating circumstances and at management discretion we may move a booking. For this an admin fee would apply. If management agrees to move a booking, the whole booking would need to be moved to another date within the same season. We cannot move part of a booking.
Can I go out and come back later in the same day?
If you wish to leave Diggerland and return the same day, at no extra charge, please have your hand stamped in the Goodie Store or keep hold of your receipt.
Failure to obtain a hand stamp or keep hold of your receipt in order to present for re-admission will result in you not being re-admitted.
Refunds or exchanges are not possible in the event of poor weather or attraction closure.
How old do children need to be to enter Diggerland alone?
Minimum age for unaccompanied children is 13 years
Minimum age to accompany a younger child is 16 years
Are there concessions for Home Educated Children?
There are no concessions for Home Educated Children, as our Diggerland parks are closed during term time to the general public. Tickets can be purchased online to visit on weekends and during school holidays. The online rates are discounted against the pay on the day admission rates.
Alternatively, there are special rates available for group bookings. Exclusive group visits can be booked for term times. See further details here – Group Visits.
Do you offer discounts for Military personnel?
British Forces personnel are able to receive a discounted rate into our Diggerland parks, against the pay on the day rates. You will not be able to use this discount against online bookings. Further information can be found at https://britishforcesdiscounts.co.uk/
Please note this discount is not valid to use during July and August.
Do you offer discounts for Blue Peter Badge holders?
Unfortunately we are not affiliated with the Blue Peter Badge scheme and therefore do not offer any discounts. Instead, we recommend pre-booking discounted tickets in advance on our website.
Does everyone entering Diggerland require a ticket?
Can I use Tesco Clubcard Vouchers to book tickets to visit Diggerland?
Do you offer discounted entry for guests receiving Universal Credit?
We’re sorry, but Diggerland does not currently offer discounted entry specifically for guests receiving Universal Credit. However, we highly recommend booking your tickets online in advance of your visit. Online bookings are offered at a discounted rate compared to the standard pay-on-the-day prices, and securing your tickets ahead of time ensures the best value for your visit.
Do online bookings need to arrive together at Diggerland?
Yes – to make your visit as smooth as possible, everyone included in your online booking will need to arrive at the same time. Unfortunately, we can’t admit part of your group earlier and the rest later, so please plan to meet before heading to the entrance.
What does the general entry admission price include?
The general entry admission price covers all of the main Diggerland rides & drives. Optional extras include the dodgems, quad-bikes and superdigs, which are charged at £1 per go. Please bring spare change to enjoy the coin operated rides.
Are there time slots to enter Diggerland?
No, once you purchase tickets you are welcome to turn up anytime from 10am when we open. This is also noted on your booking confirmation email.
Once you’ve entered, you’re more than welcome to spend the whole day at Diggerland. We would recommend at least 4 hours to enjoy all of the 20 main attractions at our parks.
Can I attend as a single adult with more than one child?
All single adults are more than welcome to visit Diggerland with more than one child, however please be aware if they are under the recommended height restriction they will need to be accompanied by an adult, which may leave a child waiting alone.
Please see our rides and drives page for more details.
I am pregnant, do I have to pay & can I enjoy the rides?
The majority of our rides and attractions are very gentle as we have young children enjoying, riding and operating them, so these should be fine. We would suggest having a look at our ride page prior to visiting, each ride (when you click on one) has more information and a short video.
We would recommend probably not going on the Spindizzy, Groundshuttle, JCB 3CX ride/drive or Dodgems. Please note unfortunately as all our rides & attractions are included in the entrance price and it is not a pay per ride attraction park, all members who are attending the park are required to purchase an entrance ticket. We also cannot provide discounts for pregnant women.
Please bear in mind, some younger children may be required to sit on an adults lap, which may prove difficult for children accompanied by pregnant visitors only.
Do you do NHS discount?
NHS staff are able to receive a discounted rate into our Diggerland parks, against the pay on the day rates. You will not be able to use this discount against online bookings. Further information can be found at https://www.healthstaffdiscounts.co.uk/

While Diggerland welcomes visitors of all ages, we recommend an ideal age of 4 years and above for the best experience. Children aged 4 and over can enjoy the majority of our rides and drives. Children under 90cm are free to enter but may have limited access to certain attractions. For those over 90cm, regardless of age, they can enjoy most rides and drives, accompanied by an adult. Disability Enquiries
Do you provide queue jump passes?
Why We Don’t Offer Fast Track or Preferential Queuing at Diggerland
At Diggerland, the safety and enjoyment of all our visitors are our top priorities. Due to the nature of our attractions, which involve real machinery and limited access points, we operate with a single queue system for all visitors. This approach is essential to ensure everyone’s safety and to manage the use of our equipment effectively.
While we understand that queuing can be challenging for some guests, particularly those with special needs, the unique setup of our park means that a fast-track system is not feasible. The machinery used in our attractions has limited space, and multiple access points could compromise both safety and the overall experience.
Generally, guests at Diggerland are able to access rides straight away, with very little queuing involved. Even on busier days, queue times at our Diggerland UK parks are still considerably less than the national average for UK theme parks. Typically, our queues take no more than 20 minutes, even during peak times like half-term. While it is very rare, wait times can occasionally reach up to 40 minutes, but this happens infrequently and is still significantly shorter compared to many other UK theme parks and visitor attractions.
To help make the waiting experience more comfortable, we have ensured that benches are plentiful around the park, offering a place to rest while waiting.
We genuinely appreciate your understanding and are continuously exploring ways to improve accessibility and inclusivity at Diggerland.

Weather Related Enquiries
What if the weather is bad?
Diggerland is predominantly an outdoor attraction with all the digger rides and drives situated out in the open air. Some rides and attractions may close in the event of high winds, thunder or lightning, if the Park Manager decides that such action is required.
In the event of rain we do have indoor play areas for younger children, which are included in the entry price. Umbrellas and rain wear may be purchased from the Goodie Store.
Diggerland regrets that refunds will not be issued due to inclement weather. If you come prepared for the weather you will still have a great day!
What should I wear?
We want your visit to be as enjoyable as possible, so here’s a little guidance on what to wear while exploring our theme park.
Diggerland is all about exciting activities that involve riding and driving real construction machinery. To ensure your safety and comfort, we kindly request that you wear appropriate clothing during your visit. Our Park Manager may kindly ask you to change your outfit or leave the park if your attire is considered inappropriate.
When it comes to footwear, leave those flip-flops at home! They don’t provide the necessary protection for your feet in our adventurous environment. We strongly recommend closed-toe shoes like trainers, flat shoes, flat boots, or wellies for your visit. Please note that high heels are not suitable for operating our machinery.
As most of our activities take place outdoors, you should be prepared for various weather conditions. If it’s a rainy day, there’s a chance you might get a bit muddy. Additionally, due to the nature of our attractions, occasional grease splatters from the machinery can find their way onto clothing. With that in mind, we suggest wearing clothes that you don’t mind getting a bit dirty.
We’re here to make sure you have a fantastic time at Diggerland, and dressing appropriately for the occasion is a small step towards ensuring your safety and enjoyment. So, get ready to dig in and have a blast!
