We know it doesn’t “officially” begin until the 21st of June, but we can’t wait to start our summer season here at Diggerland. There are so many reasons that summer at Diggerland is so awesome – we could write a 10,000 word essay about it. Instead, we’ve compiled a few of our favourites, so you know exactly why you should make us the top of your day out list during the summer.
We’re based outdoors
Everyone wants to have fun in the sun over the summer holidays. As a day out at Diggerland is predominantly spent outside, you will do just that when you visit us. A day in the sun is beneficial for any child. It boosts their immune system, helps create serotonin and encourages vitamin D production. Just make sure your little ones are wearing a hat and sun cream.
A great place to socialise
There are so many ways to socialise when you come for a day out at Diggerland. It’s a great place to meet with friends and family. Make sure you plan a playdate over the summer holidays and enjoy all of these activities, and more.
You can challenge one another, or even someone you haven’t met yet, to a race on the Go Karts. We absolutely love it when families get competitive on the Skittles! Will you beat everyone else and knock all 10 down first?
Step away from the screen
A day spent outdoors is a day spent away from screens. This has huge benefits for your children, the most important being that they will be happier and healthier. You will find that your children wind up more creative and energetic. Above all else, they will be having fun, without the need for a screen.
Aiding your child’s development
Ultimately, a day outdoors will aid your child’s development. It will encourage them to have a healthy balance in life, mixing time outdoors with indoor activities as they grow. They will also develop emotionally and intellectually, by being exposed to brand new things.
So many ways to have fun
It’s not all about machines at Diggerland, despite what our name suggests. Every child who comes to Diggerland gets access to our indoor soft play, as part of their entry fee. They also get access to our Little Tikes area, where they can develop their imagination and their fine motor skills. Of course, the Diggerland Little Tikes area comes complete with mini diggers and dumper trucks, so your little one can have just as much fun as their older siblings.
We’re all over the UK
We have Diggerland parks all over the UK, with locations in Kent, Devon, Durham and Yorkshire. Whether you’re treating yourself to a staycation, or exploring a brand new part of the country, we’re never too far away. Make sure you pre-book your tickets online, to get the best price for you and your family.
