DAYS OUT IN DEVON – THINGS TO DO
Diggerland Devon Theme Park
Days out in Devon have never been better, when coupled with Diggerland. Of course it had to be at the top of our list!
Just in time for the May half term, our Diggerland Devon park will be reopening on Saturday 28th May. With brand new machines making up our 20 different rides and drives, Diggerland is the only UK based construction themed attraction around. If you’re planning days out in Devon, then make sure you make Diggerland a priority. Whether you’ve visited us before, we guarantee that kids (and even adults) will enjoy operating a digger.
Visitors can drive a dumper truck, spin around on Spindizzy, and even race against each other on our Go-Karts. Don’t forget to visit our Dig Inn, for plenty of food and refreshment options to suit all dietary requirements.
We have limited tickets available for our first weekend of opening, so be sure to pre-book your tickets as soon as you can!
Paignton Zoo
Should your children be massive animal lovers, then Paignton Zoo is the place to be!
Based in South Devon, Paignton Zoo Environmental Park is home to over 2,500 animals. Whether you prefer watching the apes monkeying around or the lions proudly walking round their enclosure, they will have a species for everyone to admire. Plus with frequent daily talks from the rangers, your kids will leave packed full of knowledge.
Children can also make the most of the indoor and outdoor soft plate areas, as well as plenty of food and drink venues. If you’re thinking of booking, make sure you dedicate a full day to visiting!
Babbacombe Model Village
For those history buffs that are fascinated by all things British, then Babbacombe Model Village is the go-to attraction in Torquay.
The model village represents British life and culture throughout the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and through to the present day.
When you’ve finished walking through the 4.5 acres of perfectly sculpted gardens, the whole family will be ready for a bit to eat. Visitors will have access to a Coffee Shop serving a range of tasty treats, as well as a Gift Shop.
New to 2022, is the ultimate crazy golf course that was opened in March. As part of the admission fee, a round of golf is now also included! Let your competitive side out, and see who’s the first one in your group to get a hole in one!
Kents Tavern
Step into the Stone Age when you visit Kents Tavern. This local Devon attraction is Britain’s oldest known prehistoric home, how cool is that?!
Upon arrival, visitors will be led by an experienced tour guide through various passages and tunnels which were used for thousands of years. You’ll also be able to explore natural caverns, see the remains of a mammoth and other historic animals. Plus an Ice Age woodland trail, and plenty of shops and restaurants to enjoy.
Again, this is certainly an attraction that will need a whole day dedicated to exploring. Book your days out in Devon today!
