The Diggerland Adventure Parks across the UK, have been surprising many of their lucky theme park visitors with some wonderful gifts as part of Random Act of Kindness day.
Over 100 families today across the Kent, Devon, Durham and Yorkshire Diggerland parks have been lucky enough to have benefitted from a Random Acts of Kindness by the Diggerland team.
Whilst some people arrived for the day ready to pay, and were told their visit today was free of charge, others were browsing the goodie store and were given anything from toys to Diggerland pyjamas. One family were even enjoying the views 50ft in the air from the Skyshuttle ride, before being handed a family gift voucher by Diggerland mascots, Duggy and Dotty.
Random Acts Of Kindness day falls today on Friday 17th February and consists of a spontaneous act of kindness.
Celia Kelly, Digital Marketing Manager for Diggerland said: “Random Acts of Kindness Day is such a lovely way to celebrate with our visitors. We appreciate every one of our customers, especially in the current cost of living crisis where we understand some people have saved to come and spend the day with us. We hope this puts a smile across a lot of faces and has made our guests’ day at Diggerland even better than it would have been.”
Guests who visited the Diggerland UK Adventure parks today were heard to be exclaiming “We have never seen such generosity before” and “we didn’t think our day could get any better”.
Sammie Spencer, aged 31, said: “You always see videos about Random Acts Of Kindness, but you never expect it to happen to you. We couldn’t be happier”. While 59-year-old Grandmother of two, Julie Winter added:
“This has completely made our day! Our grandchildren were just having a look in the goodie store seeing what to spend their pocket money on, when the Diggerland staff came over and gave them both a digger toy and pyjamas for free!”.
Joe Lucas, 28, was another visitor who was handed a family ticket to visit Diggerland again, and commented: “We have had a fantastic day today and have made some really special family memories, so it’s amazing to be able to visit another time and do it all over again.”
