Our UK Diggerland parks are open.

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Hi All,

We hope you are continuing to stay safe and look after each other.

We are happy to announce that our Diggerland parks are now open. For any COVID-19 information and health and safety measures please see below.

Looking to visit?

Visitors who pre-book their admission tickets will be guaranteed admission into our parks.

Our online bookings are now open. Book here.

Unfortunately we are not able to accept or provide any discount codes or special offers for the remainder of our 2020 season, including Blue Peter Badges, NHS & Special Forces. This is due to us already discounting our prices & having limited visitor capacity. We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused. We are currently recommending to prebook via the Diggerland website to guarantee your admission.

Please remember that current COVID-19 restrictions mean that groups of more than 6 cannot visit together unless they are all from the same support bubble.

We have put into place additional safety & hygiene measures to allow the park to open safely. We have also met the Visit Britain ‘We’re Good To Go’ accreditation. See our FAQ section below.

Have COVID-19 symptoms and can no longer visit?

If you have booked tickets and can no longer visit due to displaying Covid-19 symptoms, then please email mail@diggerland.com with all of your booking details in advance of your visit date. We will move your whole booking for no sooner than two weeks after your booked visit date, ONCE you provide us with proof of positive COVID test results. Unfortunately we cannot move part of a booking, this includes if the booking has been made for more than one household. As per our terms and conditions, bookings are non-refundable. We will not transfer bookings for any other reason.

We are so grateful for your continued support at this time and thank you for bearing with us.

The Diggerland Team.

Good to go - Visit Britain

MAKING A BOOKING

We will be limiting numbers to 500 visitors a day at our Devon & Durham parks, 600 visitors a day at our Kent & Yorkshire parks. We therefore strongly advise you pre-book your tickets online in advance to guarantee your entry (tickets cannot be pre-booked on the same day of your visit). Tickets can be booked here.

GIFT VOUCHERS

Due to limited visitor capacity there are changes to how you can use your admission Gift Vouchers. Please see relevant FAQ below.

OFFERS & DISCOUNTS

Unfortunately due to limited visitor capacity and as we have already reduced our admission prices from £23.95pp, we are unable to accept any discounts / special offers for the remainder of the 2020 season. This includes Blue Peter badges & NHS discount.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) FAQS

What health and safety measures are in place at Diggerland?

We have the following health and safety measures in place:

  • Restricted visitor numbers to 500 (Kent & Yorkshire to 600)
  • We are advising all visitors to ensure they are social distancing from other guests
  • Face coverings must be worn when indoors and on certain designated rides
  • We have closed our indoor areas including the indoor play area
  • If you need to pay for anything, please pay by contactless card where possible. Cash is required for the ice cream vans on park.
  • All visitors will undergo a non-invasive temperature check on arrival – this is for the safety of all visitors and staff
  • We suggest going on rides in your family groups, this will help maximise our ride availability
  • All Diggerland parks will be deep cleaned including any touch points and machines. We do suggest customers also bring hand sanitiser as well
  • We will be turning away anyone who presents symptoms of COVID-19, this is for the safety of other visiting guests and our staff

Please remember that current COVID-19 restrictions mean that groups of more than 6 cannot visit together unless they are all from the same support bubble.

Will I need to wear a face mask?

Face Coverings Now Required Indoors

As per changes to government guidelines, from Saturday 8th August 2020 all visitors to our 4 UK Diggerland parks must wear a face covering upon arrival when inside.

This includes but is not limited to our indoor admissions area, gift shop & cafeteria (except when eating food at a table). This is for the health & safety of all visitors & Diggerland staff members.

Face Coverings On Rides

JCB 3CX / Safari / Joyrider:

It is mandatory for any person aged 11 years or over to wear a face covering on this particular ride. This is due to visitors being in an enclosed cab with one of our staff members.

Visitors with a medical exemption unfortunately cannot partake in this ride experience if they do not wear a face covering.

Ride duration: Approx 5 minutes

Skyshuttle / Groundshuttle / Spindizzy:

It is mandatory for any person aged 11 years or over to wear a face covering on this particular ride.  This is due to visitors being in close proximity to other guests.

Visitors with a medical exemption can enjoy this ride without a face covering, however must ride only with members of the same social bubble.

Dodgems / Dig-A-Round:

It is mandatory for any person aged 11 years or over to wear a face covering on this particular ride.  This is due to a potential risk that visitors may come in close proximity to other guests.

Exemptions

It is not mandatory for all visitors to wear a face covering when walking outside around the park. Please however adhere to social distancing.

Diggerland Staff & Face Coverings

All of our staff will be wearing face coverings.

Will all rides be open?

In line with Government guidelines, we cannot unfortunately open the indoor play area, bouncy castle and the indoor Little Tikes area for health and safety reasons. The outdoor play area at Diggerland Devon is closed. All other rides & drives are open, however some require visitors to wear face coverings. We will continue to update further as soon as more information is available.

I have tested positive for Covid-19, what happens to my booking?

Any visitor who pre-books their Diggerland tickets & then tests positive for Covid-19, will have their whole booking transferred to another date. We will move a booking, once we have received proof of positive test results. We cannot move only part of a booking. The new date cannot be within the 2 week quarantine period. Unfortunately pre-booked tickets cannot be refunded. We are unable to move tickets for any other reason.

Will I be able to turn up on the day and pay?

We will still allow visitors to turn up on the day and pay, but you will not be guaranteed entry if the maximum amount of visitors has already been reached. With restricted numbers of 500 (600 at Kent & Yorkshire), we would highly recommend pre-booking your tickets in advance to guarantee you entry into the park. Please note tickets cannot be booked on the same day as your visit.

Please remember that current COVID-19 restrictions mean that groups of more than 6 cannot visit together unless they are all from the same support bubble.

Will you accept any discount codes?

Unfortunately we are not able to accept or provide any discount codes or special offers for the remainder of our 2020 season, including Blue Peter Badges, NHS & Special Forces.

This is due to us already discounting our prices & having limited visitor capacity. We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused. We are currently recommending to prebook via the Diggerland website to guarantee your admission.

How do I book if I have admission Gift Vouchers that I purchased through Diggerland?

Due to restrictions and limited capacity each day, admission can only be guaranteed by pre-booking.  Please complete the below form to submit your gift voucher booking request. You need to do this at early as possible in order to get booked in on your preferred date.  We cannot accept requests less than 5 days before your required visit date.

Alternatively you can turn up with your voucher at the park without pre-booking but should all presale tickets be sold out then it won’t be possible for us to allow you entry.

If your voucher expired during lockdown these are being extended to cover the period they were unable to be used up until their expiry date.  All vouchers still in date as of the 11th July will have an additional 4 months added onto their expiry date. This will be calculated when you make contact by email to book your visit date. Alternatively you can pay to extend your vouchers for an additional 12 months.

We hope you will understand that under the current guidelines this is our only option of managing gift vouchers to ensure the safety and well being of our guests and staff.

How do I book if I have a Bulk Voucher Ticket?

Due to restrictions and limited capacity each day, you will need to email mail@diggerland.com with your voucher type and reference number, expiry date, preferred park and visit date as well as a contact number.  There might be an additional cost for us to process your booking for you and we cannot accept requests less than 5 days before your required visit date.  You cannot use your voucher to book on line.
