Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Hi All,

We hope you are continuing to stay safe and look after each other.

Diggerland are very pleased to be able to announce that all four Diggerland UK theme parks will be reopening on Monday 12 April 2021, just in time for the last week of the Easter holiday.

All outdoor activities will be available but we are sorry that indoor play area will have to remain closed for a further 6 weeks, as a minimum, due to government restrictions. There will also be restrictions on food and beverage. Full Covid-19 compliance will be in place and we will be restricting the number of daily visitors to ensure that everyone can maintain social distancing.

You can pre-book your tickets online here or if you have a voucher, please visit our 2021 Booking option page to be directed to the correct way of booking for your voucher.

Duggy, Dotty and the Diggerland team look forward to welcoming you back to Diggerland!.

Unfortunately we are not able to accept or provide any discount codes or special offers including Blue Peter Badges, NHS & Special Forces. This is due to us already discounting our prices & having limited visitor capacity. We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused.

We are so grateful for your continued support at this time and thank you for bearing with us.

The Diggerland Team.

We will be limiting numbers to 500 visitors a day at our Devon & Durham parks, 600 visitors a day at our Kent & Yorkshire parks. We therefore strongly advise you pre-book your tickets online in advance to guarantee your entry (tickets cannot be pre-booked on the same day of your visit). Tickets can be booked here.

Due to limited visitor capacity there are changes to how you can use your admission Gift Vouchers. Please see relevant FAQ below.

Unfortunately due to limited visitor capacity, we are unable to accept any discounts / special offers for the remainder of the 2021 season. This includes Blue Peter badges & NHS discount.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

If you have a Diggerland leaflet, we will be accepting these until 2022, please present your Diggerland leaflet on arrival. The discount will be taken off the pay on the day rate.

FAQS

What health and safety measures are in place at Diggerland?

We have the following health and safety measures in place:

  • Restricted visitor numbers to 500 (Kent & Yorkshire to 600).
  • Social distancing from other guests.
  • Face coverings must be worn when indoors and on certain designated rides.
  • We have closed our indoor play areas and Little Tikes areas.
  • If you need to pay for anything, please pay by contactless card where possible. Cash is required for the ice cream vans on park.
  • All visitors will undergo a non-invasive temperature check on arrival – this is for the safety of all visitors and staff.
  • We suggest going on rides in your family groups, this will help maximise our ride availability.
  • All Diggerland parks will be deep cleaned including any touch points and machines. We do suggest customers also bring hand sanitiser as well.
  • We will be turning away anyone who presents symptoms of COVID-19, this is for the safety of other visiting guests and our staff.
  • Everyone over the age of 16 entering the park currently needs to provide their contact details for NHS track and trace.  Please scan the QR code on arrival in admissions or fill in a form – we may have to refuse entry if this is not supplied.

Please remember that current COVID-19 restrictions mean that groups of more than 6 cannot visit together unless they are all from the same support bubble.

NHS Track & Trace

Everyone over the age of 16 entering the park currently needs to provide their contact details for NHS track and trace.  Please scan the QR code on arrival in admissions or fill in a form – we may have to refuse entry if this is not supplied.

Tiers - What do I do?

Should any of our parks need to close due to tier restrictions or visitors live in an area which is placed into severe tiers, then any pre-booked tickets can be rescheduled.

Unfortunately we are not able to offer any refunds.

Will I need to wear a Face Mask?

Face Coverings Now Required Indoors

All visitors to our 4 UK Diggerland parks must wear a face covering upon arrival when inside and when in ride queues.

This includes but is not limited to our indoor admissions area, gift shop & cafeteria. This is for the health & safety of all visitors & Diggerland staff members.

Face Coverings On Rides

Ride duration: Approx 5 minutes

Skyshuttle / Groundshuttle / Spindizzy:

It is mandatory for any person aged 11 years or over to wear a face covering on this particular ride.  This is due to visitors being in close proximity to other guests.
