Devon and Cornwall have been voted as the nation’s joint second locations for a staycation. It comes as no surprise to us, as camping in Devon is by far one of the most magical experiences for families.
Without a doubt, Covid-19 has definitely put the brakes on for any international travelling. This means that staycations are definitely on the top of everyone’s to do list.
At Diggerland, we’ve made camping in Devon just that bit easier for you. That way, you can concentrate on spending quality time with your family.
Camping in Devon
This historic market town has been the centre of rural life in Mid Devon for centuries, as it is home to one of the UK’s most magnificent churches. The beautiful Devon countryside town of Cullompton is set within Culm Valley.
Cullompton is the ideal holiday destination if you want to escape into peaceful surroundings, get back to nature and explore the wonderful nature and wildlife in this part of the county.
Close to the vibrant city of Exeter, and the historic town of Tiverton, you’ll never be short of adventure!
Not to mention that our Diggerland Adventure Park is also located in Cullompton!
If you’re looking for an outdoors get-away adventure, camping in Devon will tick that box.
Diggerland Devon Campsite
At the Diggerland Devon campsite, you get two experiences in one place! The campsite is situated on the same complex as the Diggerland Devon Theme Park.
Camping in Devon has never been easier. Simply pack your tent or prepare your motorhome, and be on your way!
When you pre book your pitches, you can treat yourself to a spectacular 50% off. Yes please! Pitches are available from £15 per night when you book online. You can also choose pitches with or without electric hookup, based on your preferences.
Diggerland’s campsite is within driving distance to Dartmoor and Exmoor National parks, adding extra adventure to your holiday.
In addition to this, it is also adjacent to “Diggerlakes”. What a fantastic way to spend time with the family? Maybe you can add fishing to your list of new skills?
Of an evening, you can enjoy a peaceful night in with a home cooked meal with the family, or take advantage of the nearby restaurants.
Roberto’s Pizza & Pasta, Noor Sitara Indian Restaurant and Vitamin Sea are just a small handful of eateries that are within a 10 minute drive. With ample variety, you can really indulge yourself in the local cuisine, as Vitamin Sea provides top quality, local Devon produce.
Diggerland Theme Park
For something a tad more thrilling, we of course have to mention the Diggerland Theme Park. It is in the same complex after all!
Our Theme Park is suitable for all ages, which fits extremely well into our theme of family days out.
Children and adults can take on the experience of driving and riding real construction machinery. Where else can you say you’ve done that?
There is an array of 20 rides and drives at our Diggerland parks, which includes the famous ‘Spindizzy’ ride. Or, for those that prefer a calmer day out, you can dig until your heart’s content on the Giant & Dirt Diggers, or play hook a duck (but digger style)!
Visitors can choose from a variety of meals and snacks from ‘The Dig Inn’, or bring their own packed lunches from home. We have ample outdoor picnic areas, which are a delight in the summertime!
Camping in Devon made easy!
