Not only do Diggerland offer the most unique experience for school trips in Kent, but we are also proud sponsors of The Kent Teacher of the Year Awards.

The awards, (organised by the KM Charity Team) were co-hosted by Simon Dolby, chief executive of the KM Charity Team, and Nicola Everett, news editor for kmfm. Special guests included KCC cabinet member for education Roger Gough, and celebrated children’s author and literacy ambassador for the KM Charity Team, Nick Butterworth.
The lucky winners were decided by a panel of judges featuring representatives from Medway Council, Kent County Council, Kent Sport, Canterbury Christ Church University and The University of Kent to name just a few!
School Trips in Kent
Starting to think of your next school trips in Kent? Look no further than Diggerland Theme Park!
A structured school trip, club or group visit to a Diggerland UK Theme Park can be as educational as it is enjoyable and entertaining.
At Diggerland, students & pupils and other visiting club & groups’ members get to enjoy a hands-on experience of driving and/or operating real diggers and dumpers in a variety of fun and innovative ways as well as enjoying the thrills of our other rides and drives!
A visit to Diggerland allows students and pupils to get practical experience of what it is like to operate a ‘180’ or ‘360’ excavator. Not only that, they also get to learn how to control and operate dumpers and backhoe-loaders whilst gaining an idea of some of the dangers and hazards of working on construction sites with or near large heavy-plant, allowing teachers to explain and stress the importance of knowing and following the appropriate Health & Safety at Work procedures and practices.
