Back to School! Planning days out in Yorkshire with children.

As the kids go back to school, we’re sure many parents and guardians will be looking for fun-filled activities to do at the weekend! Whether you’re born and bred, or just visiting, here are some of the best days out in Yorkshire.

Eureka! The National Children’s Museum

If you’re wanting to plan some fun and educational days out in Yorkshire this Autumn, then make sure you check out Eureka! The National Children’s Museum! It’s a popular choice for little ones as it’s packed with interactive exhibitions which are designed to make learning fun.

This is the only fully interactive museum in the UK which is dedicated to children aged between 0-11. There’s over 400 interactive, hands-on exhibits designed to engage and inspire!

There are six unique zones for you to enjoy inside. You can make some noise and explore how music is created or step inside giant body parts. Each zone is full of activities to do, equipment to play with and buttons to press.

St Aidan’s Nature Park

Run by the RSPB, St Aidan’s Nature Park is a real treasure. It’s a 400-hectare country park with over 12 kilometres of trails for you to explore. Whether you;re planning on walking, cycling or even horse riding, this is a perfect place to visit in the Autumn.

Just a stone’s throw away from the centre of Leeds, you can enjoy the stunning scenery of lakes, woodland and grassland, all home to a variety of wildlife. Make sure you have your camera at the ready so you can take advantage of the amazing views.
