Dumper Racing
An exciting race/skill challenge on dumpers, which calls for co-ordination and nerve. Each competitor takes part in at least 2 race heats against the clock and your competitors, with the fastest times qualifying to reach the Grand Final. The winner of the Grand Final will receive a Certificate to commemorate their victory.
Numbers are limited on these popular nights, so pre-booking is essential.
Dumper racing is usually held at each of our locations on the last Saturday evening of each month, from March to October, usually from 6pm to 8pm although the starting time may vary in early or late season. Entrants must be aged 17 years and over. Participant entry into this competitive event costs £34.50 per person. There is no charge for spectators, as racing takes place once Diggerland has closed for the day, so the rides and drives are not operating.
Please note: Refreshments and food are not included in the cost of Dumper Racing, but will be available to purchase, after the racing finishes. (Some of our older brochures and leaflets indicate that food is included - we apologise if you still have one of these leaflets).
At Devon, Durham and Kent, Dumper Racing is held on a loose surfaced area, or a grass field. At Durham, racing is held on a tarmac surface.
