Diggerland Top Tips!

We have had a great half-term here at Diggerland! We have been digging for buried treasure, spotting animals on our safari and spun dizzy on Spindizzy. But it is not over yet and you still have all weekend to treat the kids. What better way to finish the week than with a family trip to Diggerland?!

Diggerland - Diggerland Top Tips

Here are 6 of our Diggerland Top Tips for your visit:

1. Drink lots.

Make sure to keep hydrated throughout the day. With such great weather at the moment, it is important to drink plenty of water. However don’t worry if you have forgotten your water bottle, we have catering establishments on site!

2. If you think it is going to rain, we recommend you bring wellies and a waterproof jacket.

Diggerland - Diggerland WelliesAll of our rides operate as normal in the rain. However be sure to bring your wellies and waterproofs just-in-case, as it may get a little bit muddy!

Additional Diggerland Top Tips: If your little ones love the mud, it may be a good idea to bring some spare clothes. Think of those poor car seats…

If you have forgotten your child’s wellies, or simply need a new pair, head over to our online shop. These digtastic wellies are affordable and durable, currently available in sizes 5-13.

3. Plenty of sun cream.

Please ensure you and your kids are kept safe from the sun. Most Diggerland activities are outdoors, and sometimes people can forget to top up their sun cream. The British weather has been very hot and sunny the past couple of weeks, so remember to take breaks to top up your sun cream in between having buckets of fun.

4. Remember to bring food.

Whilst we have eateries on site, you may also bring a picnic if you wish. We have an outdoor picnic area, so you don’t have to miss out on the sun or worry about any food allergies. If you do wish to buy food at Diggerland, remember to bring some money with you!

Speaking of money…

5. Bring some pound coins!

All of our parks have coin operated rides on site for the little ones, so don’t forget your pound coins. You will need these for the coin operated cars and quads, as well as the dodgems and arcade games.

6. Check the ride height chart.

Safety is our top priority at Diggerland, and unfortunately this means that some of our rides have height restrictions. Please note, children over 90cm tall are able to go on 15 out of 20 rides and drives. Some of which they will need to be accompanied by an adult. Don’t worry if you have little ones under 90cm, children under 90cm enter for free! A Diggerland Top Tip is to check which rides you may need to accompany your child/children on before visiting.
